Bus Routes and Safety Information

The transportation department provides regular morning and afternoon bus stops for eligible students attending their home campus as determined by the established CFISD attendance boundaries. Students on a transfer are ineligible for transportation. Eligible addresses for transportation within your student’s attendance boundary are:
  1. your home address,
  2. state-recognized daycare provider or
  3. your student’s grandparent address.

Buses are routed to arrive at campuses 10–15 minutes prior to bell time. It is recommended that students begin riding the bus the first day of school so that student bus assignments and seating assignments may be identified as quickly as possible. It is advisable for parents of young students to arrange for supervision to and from their bus stop. Initially, students should arrive at their bus stop 15 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time.

For the first few weeks of school, several factors contribute to delays:
  • traffic adjusting to the buses;
  • student seat assignments;
  • delays at campuses as students board assigned buses;
  • possible overcrowding; and
  • route direction adjustments.
Please understand that this is a transition time for students and district staff, and we appreciate your patience in advance.

The Bus Safety Rules are posted on the district website for you to review with your student. Please support these safety standards by reinforcing your student’s role in making the ride to and from school safe and expeditious.

Any questions or concerns regarding transportation services can be directed to the Falcon Transportation Center at 281 897-4380.
