The beginning of the 2014-2015 school year is right around the corner. Teachers, administrators and staff members are working around the clock as they prepare to “Lead the Way” for students to have a successful school year. As summer vacation comes to a close for parents and students, and as they begin to get ready for the start of school on Aug. 25, the district is launching yet another new and innovative medium (following suit of the new district website) to keep parents informed.

Welcome to the first edition of Community Connect, a place where members of the community can easily access important information and highlights about Cypress-Fairbanks ISD. Replacing the electronic publication INSIDE Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, the new Community Connect will be published at the end of each month and sent via email to community members who sign up for eNews. The monthly publication will also be posted and archived on the district website as a resource for the community.

This edition is filled with back-to-school information that addresses the upcoming Back-to-School EXPO on Aug. 16, student registration, transportation, athletics, important district dates and much more. You can also stay up-to-date with the latest district news by following CyFairISD on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. Our next edition, Aug. 25, will feature the launch of our Superintendent’s Blog from Dr. Mark Henry. I hope you enjoy this first edition of Community Connect and look forward to providing you with the latest CFISD news.
