The CFISD special education department will soon dispose of the confidential records of students who have not received special education assessment, instruction or related services since June 2012. These records are retained for a period of 5 years after assessments or services are complete. These records will be destroyed on or about July 10, 2017 unless a request is otherwise received.
Special education records could be of future importance for purposes of applying for Social Security benefits.
Request to prevent the destruction of certain records must be made by July 7 to:
