STAAR encouragement, career day and a kite donation at Holbrook Elementary School

On May 7, for the second year in a row, representatives from Naked Lime Marketing visited Holbrook Elementary School to 'chalk up the sidewalk' with encouraging messages for the school's STAAR testers.

The business partners also added yard decorations for students and staff to see as they arrived at school that week.

On May 19, Holbrook held its third-annual career day with Greater True Faith Missionary Baptist Church's Young Professionals. Fourth- and fifth-grade students had the opportunity to learn about a variety of careers such as police officer, engineer, attorney, pharmaceutical sales representative, accountant, business analyst, paralegal and many more.
